We have two short-term let options available immediately for a minimum of 2-3 months with a possibility of extension to 6 months subject to availability, in a beautiful , 3-story Grade-II listed building located on an estate in South Abingdon (OX14 4AA).
You will have access to a large, fully equipped communal kitchen and substantial gardens. The two options are:
Option 1 (1st Floor Suite): A private bedroom and an adjoining private study, plus your own dedicated bathroom and toilet. Perfect for a visiting professional / couple who need a home workspace. £1300 per month.
Option 2 (Ground Floor Room): A private ground-floor bedroom. You will share a 1st-floor bathroom with another tenant in the house. £800 per month.
This house is home to an established co-housing group, currently made up of two families (with children) and two single adults. Because we have rooms empty while we complete a long-term membership process, we are offering these spaces on a temporary, commercial basis.
Please note: This is a standard room let, not a co-housing trial. You won’t be expected to join our community meetings, cooking rotas, or group workdays! We simply ask that you treat the space as a friendly, respectful, and tidy shared house.
Who We Are Looking For : Given this is a short-term let, this setup is absolutely perfect for:
* Visiting academics or post-docs at Oxford University
* Contractors or researchers working at Culham Science Centre or Harwell Campus
* Locum medical professionals (John Radcliffe or local hospitals)
* Professionals who are in-between house purchases.
We are looking for respectful, professional individuals who are comfortable in a family-oriented environment. For the peace of mind of the parents, we will ask for standard references (and a DBS check if you already have one for your profession).

Rent: £1300/month (Option 1) or £800/month (Option 2)
