Bright Double Room — excellent connectivity

We have a 4 bedroom house in Sandhills, Headington which is our home so we would like to share it with people who will enjoy living here and treat and respect it as their own. We are letting two rooms, which will have one bathroom (shower and toilet) shared between them. We have our own bathroom in a separate part of the house.

We are a couple of young professionals, one a classical pianist and tutor; the other a university lecturer. We’ve tried to make the rooms homely and nice space to call home away from home, instead of the usual shabby/student-type room.

The newly renovated room available to rent is light throughout the day with windows at both ends. We’ve completed the room with aesthetics and functionality in mind, and you’ll have use of a smart HD TV. All bills are included (electricity, council tax band D, gas and high speed fibre optic). The large kitchen is available for cooking and you’re welcome to use all of our kitchen equipment. There is also a garden for bbq’s/relaxing outdoors in the summer and fruits from our trees in September! We’re happy with people who smoke, but please no smoking inside the house.

We don’t have any pets at home, except a group of friendly chickens in the garden!

The location is ideal for those who work/study in Oxford/Brookes or who need to commute to London regularly as Thornhill park and ride is just a couple of minutes' walk away. Distances from Thornhill park and ride by direct buses (average traffic) :

Headington Shops: 5–10 minutes
Oxford Brookes: 8–13 min
Oxford City Centre: 15–20 min
Railway station: 20–25 min
London (Hillingdon): 45 min—1hr
London (Shepherd’s Bush): 1hr 15 min—1hr 30 min

If you drive, there is free on-street parking which is never a struggle to find.

We are looking to let sometime from the 1st of March onwards but will want to meet you (face to face or online) to have a chat before you move in. We can be reasonably flexible with arranging viewings as we are currently working from home and look forward to meeting you!

Viewings will be available (in person or online) from the 7th February, but we’re happy to meet for a virtual chat before that date.
