Comfortable double room available for a tidy, non-smoking female professional from Sept. 6, 2024, in a ground-floor three-bed flat. Close to Churchill Hospital, the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, and the Lye Valley nature reserve. We're on a direct bus route to the city centre, and the Headington shops are less than a 15-minute walk. There is an available (assigned) parking space, and a garage with cycle racks where you can lock a bike.
One of our flatmates is moving out when our tenancy agreement comes up for renewal, so we're looking for another professional (preferably female, as all the other flatmates are female) to join us for a new contract. This would be from Sept. 6, 2024 through May 31st, 2025. We can also consider postgraduate students, but you would need to be willing to pay a share of the council tax. The flat is owned and managed by Lucy Properties, who have been very responsive and helpful, and who will handle all of the financial and reference checks.
The room is furnished, and comes with a kingsize bed, bedside table, chest of drawers, desk & chair, and a built-in wardrobe. The shared kitchen has a washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven/hob, and plenty of cupboard space. Bathroom space is shared: we have a bath/shower room (with possibly the best and most adjustable water pressure I've ever had in Oxford acommodation), and a separate water closet.
Your share of rent will be £630/month, not including bills, which currently come to approximately £140/month each (for council tax, gas, electric, water, and internet; we are in band C for council tax).
About us: Ann is a nurse at the JR; Jennifer is a lexicographer working for a local publishing company. We have pretty different schedules due to work, but we're a considerate, friendly household, respectful of each others' space (and sleep schedules!), and we all clean up after ourselves and contribute to keeping communal spaces clean and tidy. We're looking for someone who will do the same - so if you're looking for a quiet, peaceful, place to call home, please get in touch!
