Double Room Available for Single Professional

I am looking for a single professional to share my home in Headington Oxford.

The room is located on the ground floor of a three-story terrace, at the back of the house overlooking a small private garden. There is a larger garden further up the stairs which is also part of the house but unfenced. There is a bathroom downstairs that will be for your use only, and you'll share the kitchen & living room with me.

The room is £750 per calender month and includes all bills such as broadband, gas, council tax, internet & electricity. In order to secure the room there is a £700 deposit which is kept until the end of the tenancy and returned to you (on the presumption you haven't trashed the room, or left without giving notice).

I would be happy to discuss a Monday to Friday only let and we could discuss a reduced price.

So, what do you get for handing over your hard-earned cash?
- Free on road parking

- Shared use of the kitchen including pots, pans, cups, plates, etc, a dishwasher, cooker and airfryer (the cooker is about to be upgraded so don't get too attached).

-Shared cupboard, fridge and freezer space in the kitchen

-Shared use of the living room including TV & internet and a sofa that is so comfy you may struggle to get up off it.

-Your own shoe and coat rack outside your room so you don't have to shove wet coats in to the wardrobe and have extra space for clothes

-Shared use of a secure garage to store your bike (there is also a bike you could borrow if you promise not to fall off and sue me),

-Use of laundry facilities (washer/dryer)

-private room and bathroom (not an en-suite but it is next door to the bedroom) with an electric shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail.

-Storage space in the bedroom with a wardbrode with shelves and a rail, and there is also a tall set of drawers. The bed is an 'ottoman' style so you can store items underneath. There is a shelf above the bed for storing alarm clocks, your phone and other smaller bits.

-the bed will come with pillows and a pocket sprung mattress with a foam topper. I am happy to discuss the loan of some bedding if you don't have any before moving in.

- free cuddles from my rescue dog. He's not an "in your face" dog, but he is free to roam all levels of the house. If you don't want him in your room you will have to shut the door as he loves soft beds, warm hugs and bread (or even the promise of bread),

And finally, you get to live with me! I've been described many things in my life, but what's important to know is that I live a relatively quiet life. If I'm not at work, I'm walking the dog. When I'm not doing either of those things, I'm probably in front of the TV watching either a crime drama or murder mystery, or maybe in the garden wondering why all my plants are suddenly dead. If I haven't guilted myself into fixing something in the house, I may be reading or doing my knitting.

I have no opinion on ages, but if you are at that point in your life that you want to get drunk every weekend then we won't get on very well. I live low-key in a quiet neighbourhood and would like to share my home with someone who also appreciates the peace and quiet.

In terms of access and travelling around the area: the house is about a 2 minute walk from the nearest bus stop which will take you directly into Oxford centre via Headington. It's traffic dependant but you could be in Oxford town centre within an hour.

You would be about a 15-20 minutes walk to Thornhill Park and Ride which has more buses into Oxford centre, the hospitals, or to central London / Heathrow / Gatwick and Luton airports.
The house is also very close by areas to walk and run (if that's your thing) such as sports fields, Shotover Forest (a long walk) or the sourrounding farmers fields.

Headington is about a 30 minutes walk from the house to the main shopping area on London Road.
The John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill, NOC & Manor are all within 30 minute cycle, or 40-50 minute walk, or there are lots of buses that serve the hospitals which go through Headington.

Before agreeing for you to take the room I would want to meet you and you'll want to see the room and the area. Viewings can be arranged for either weekends or after 6pm Monday to Friday if you can't do weekends.
