A warm and friendly older person with poor short-term memory is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight. They would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking a few meals each week, help with light cleaning and tidying, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double bedroom with own bathroom (bath, no shower), and shared use of the kitchen, sitting room and garden.

The property is in a lovely location in the village of Iffley, just 2 miles from the centre of Oxford and close to the river. It’s close to bus routes and approx. 15-minute car drive or 12-minute cycle to the centre of Oxford. There is parking.

The person enjoys attending cultural events in the village hall, including films, concerts and talks. They have had lodgers in the past so are used to sharing their home.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
