Picturesque room in Oxford, from 5 Dec to 5 Jan

Located Iffley, an idyllic medieval village within Oxford city, in proximity of the River Thames, my room offers plenty of history, atmosphere, and comfort. The room will be available for 1 month, from 5 December to 5 January.

The room is on the second floor of a beautiful period refurbished building. It has two large windows and a direct view of the Norman Church of St. Mary and its gardens.

The room is fully furnished with two single beds, large desk, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bookshelves, armchair, bedside cabinets, mirrors, lamps, kettle for tea/coffee, and some paintings. It is centrally heated. Bed linens and towels can be made available.

A spacious kitchen, bright common room, laundry, and large beautiful garden are shared with other tenants. The kitchen is fully furnished with several cooking stoves, fridges, and cooking utensils. A bathroom with shower is located right next to the bedroom, and three more bathrooms are available on the other floors. A cleaner takes care of the communal areas three times per week.

The other tenants of the house are friendly PhD students who spend most of their time working on their research away from the house, so you will have all the privacy and quietness you may wish.

The centre of Oxford can be reached from Iffley village by public bus (10 mins), bike (15 mins), and on foot (30 mins). Nearby the house there is a big Sainsbury’s supermarket, a couple of traditional pubs, and beautiful walks along the river into the countryside or into town. There is a lockable cycle shed and car parking space in the premises. A bike can be made available.

The price for the room is £390 for the whole month, inclusive of electricity, heating, water, internet, and cleaning services. Stays for periods shorter than a month can be negotiated.

No smocking and no pets are allowed in the house. Parties in the house are not allowed.
