The room advertised is a furnished room with a double bed, a big wardrobe and comes with lots of storage in the rest of the flat. The room shares a bathroom with one other tenant.

The flat is very close to shops, cafes, pubs and bus routes and a 10-12 min walk to the city centre and 10 -12 min from the railway station, via the canal.

The rent for the room is currently £794 per month. You would be signing a new tenancy agreement with the other three flatmates effective 28 April 2025 (with annual rent increase in November). Bills (including council tax) are approximately £160 per month extra (approximate breakdown- council tax ~ £80, internet-£8, water~£10-15, electricity £50-70 depending on season). The flat is let by Lucy Properties, who are reliable property managers.

About the housemates:

The flat currently houses two professionals and two PhD students, who share a 9am-6pm schedule. Everyone is friendly and social. We enjoy cooking, watching TV together, and the occasional board games! But equally we have time to ourselves and respect each other's privacy.

About you:

The room would suit someone who is a young professional or a mature PhD student. Please note if you are a student, you would still have to contribute to the council tax bill.

We are looking for someone of a similar age to us who keeps the common areas tidy, is quiet and respectful, but also enjoys socialising with their flatmates. It is important that we find someone who is looking for a homely dynamic to their flat share, rather than a hotel or college/university dorm-style arrangement.
