A double room in a friendly, clean, and relaxed house in Jericho is becoming available. The ideal move-in-date would be 20 June.
The room itself is in a quiet third-floor attic and comes fully furnished with a (very comfortable) double bed, night desk, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, and office chair. It is very bright. It is warm in winter and cosy in the summer.
The house boasts three bathrooms (with one shower and bath), a large kitchen, a lovely back garden, and a shared living room on the ground floor. You will be sharing with two post-docs and two professionals, who are respectful, friendly, and considerate.
The house is located in a quiet street, but with all what the buzzling atmosphere of Jericho has to offer a stone’s throw away: restaurants, supermarkets, and Port Meadow. It is 10–15 mins walk from the city and the train station – so ideal to reach departments and all the central locations of Oxford.
The rent is £820 (which will raise to £870 from July). Bills, including council tax, amount to around £150. Each person in the house deals with one type of bill, and you will become responsible for the wi-fi. As I will be leaving the house in late June you will only need to pay the initial rent and bills pro-rated for the remainder of the month prior to your move.
Given the changes in tenancy laws, the current tenancy is rolling with a two-month notice period. This means that you will be able to enter the tenancy contract from around 8th August. We are therefore looking for someone committed long-term.
