Description
I will soon be leaving this lovely 4-bed flat in Jericho, so am looking for someone to take over my room.
It can be furnished or unfurnished – half of the furniture in the pictures is mine and I'll be taking some of it with me, but the landlord is happy to provide whatever is needed. There is a huge built-in wardrobe in the room, and you will share a big bathroom with one other flatmate (who is very considerate and lets me take 3-hour baths!).
The whole flat overlooks St Sepulchre's Cemetery, so is generally very peaceful and in a great location. There is also a friendly cat usually roaming around outside!
The landlord is Lucy Properties and they are incredibly responsive and reasonable. They require references, address history etc. when you apply. A new contract will start from the 14 September, but you will be able to sub-let sooner than that (most likely from mid-late August – happy to discuss). To join the tenancy in September, you need to have submitted your application by the 13 August (I will provide more info on this!).
You'll be sharing with three lovely women in their 30s who have all been here for a long time, so the flat feels homely and settled. Two work in different areas of the university (research services and GLAM), and the other is an energy consultant. Everyone gets along really well and they are looking for someone who is equally chilled, responsible, and generally up for a nice chat in an evening!
Bills come to about £150/pp each month (and this includes council tax, water, electricity, wifi). The flat has underfloor heating, but we have never really needed to turn it on as it's so well insulated even in winter. Postgrad students are welcome, but the flat isn’t exempt from council tax and this is split evenly.
If you’re interested in the room, please send a bit of information about yourself, including:
- Ideal move-in date
- Interests/hobbies
- Work/study situation
