Description

Upstairs room in a pleasant Victorian terraced house in Temple Cowley (little village-like corner of East Oxford). Central Oxford can be reached in ten or fifteen minutes by very regular bus services, and a direct bus also links to Headington, Oxford Brookes University and the hospitals.

Room is furnished with a single bed that can be expanded into a double one, a desk and chair, bedside table and wardrobe. House has a good-sized shared living room-diner and a separate kitchen. There's a patio area. Broadband is available of course. The house is kept clean by a cleaning lady who makes a weekly visit.

I am a university lecturer working at Oxford Brookes in the field of Japanese studies. I'm sociable and enjoy good conversation about the arts, politics, good food and wine, etc. I have found I've become friends with most of the lodgers who have stayed here since I moved into the house. I'm a fairly easygoing landlord and there aren't many house rules. I enjoy cooking and have been known to cook the occasional dinner for my lodgers!

I think the room and house would suit a mature student or young professional, and look forward to meeting potential tenants.
