Description
Hi, we're looking for someone to join our lovely house on Percy St. The room will be free from around the 22nd of December 2024. We are hosting viewings (online and in-person) so please drop us a message if you're interested!
Housemates:
We like: music (singing, piano, etc.), sport (cycling, football, walking), reading, salsa/bachata, gardening, cooking, going out etc. We're equally happy to spend quiet nights in when we need it.
We do a mix of things for work: an asset manager for battery energy storage systems and two academics; one teaching Economics and the other French.
We're looking for: someone easygoing, climate-friendly and tidyish who wants to be part of the house.
Money:
Rent: £630 per month
Landlord: Private (and very accommodating)
Bills & Council Tax: c. £140 a month (Note for students: we pay council tax as a house)
Downstairs:
Front room - for lounging/telly/music etc. Also includes a piano and sofa bed (now and then we have people staying over)
Kitchen - massive, airy, well-equipped with loads of storage. This is where we spend most of our time, especially in summer. as the back wall opens up to the garden.
Utility room - where the utilities live (washing machine, extra freezer)
Downstairs bathroom
Garden - a really big and well-kept space. Every part of it catches the sun during the day. We're particularly proud of our veg patch and patio. Plenty of space for bikes.
Upstairs:
Double bedroom - Pleasant and clean double room, fully furnished with double bed, wardrobe, desk, etc.
Upstairs Bathroom - Shower/bath and toilet.
Neighbourhood:
We really enjoy living here. The house is on a quiet street with a strong sense of community, really close to the river and nature reserves, and has great pubs, restaurants and gig venues nearby. Getting into town is easy (10 mins by bike or bus), as is getting out of it. The nearest big supermarket is 5 mins by bike, but there are loads of great independent shops around us too.
