Hello!
One of our lovely housemates is moving in with her partner, so we're looking for a new housemate to join us in our home.
About the bedroom:
The bedroom is a cosy double room on the ground floor which comes furnished with a bed, wardrobe, bedside table, and chest of drawers. It has a lovely ornamental fireplace and big windows.
About the house:
The house has a communal living room and separate kitchen (with dishwasher & washing machine dryer combo), upstairs bathroom with shower over bath and downstairs toilet, as well as a patio garden with a picnic bench and two BBQs! It is located in a nice, quiet residential area just off Iffley Road, very close to the river with a path through the nature reserve. We're really close to all the Magdalene road cafes, Hamblin Bakery etc. Bikes can be locked to a rail in the front garden or brought through the house and kept in the back garden.
You'll share with, Elly, Johanna and Guido.
Elly (Aussie) is a book conservator working for the Royal Collection, and likes soccer, surfing, AFL and a good pub quiz.
Johanna is doing a PhD in Economics and really into plants and gardening. She enjoys sewing, knitting, and swimming, and sings in a choir.
Guido is another engineer from Italy working in nuclear and loves running and cycling.
We like a relaxed home, we enjoy spending time together but do have our own busy schedules! We would like to meet a housemate who shares our interests, enjoys a sociable cooking/movie night in the evenings, and who keeps the house pretty clean (we have a weekly wheel-of-choretune).
The house is easy walking distance to the city centre as well as just a few minutes walk from Cowley Road, and a lovely nature reserve. Bills, including council tax, are approx. £130 per month (not included in rent).
Parking is available on the street with a permit; there are two permits allocated to the house, both of which are available. There is some free parking within a 10 minute walk for guests, or overnight-only parking at the bottom of the road.
The house is owned & taken care of by landlords who live nearby (so much better than working with agencies) who are friendly and always on hand to help get things sorted.
