Description
Hello!
One of our housemates is leaving Oxford, so we're looking for a new housemate to join us in our home.
The room is free from July 26.
Bills, including council tax, are approx. £150 per month (not included in rent). Rent for the room is £598.
About the bedroom:
- The bedroom is a cosy double room on the ground floor with lots of natural light.
- It comes furnished with a bed, wardrobe, bedside table, and chest of drawers. It has a lovely ornamental fireplace and big windows.
About the house:
- The house has a living room and kitchen (with dishwasher & washing machine dryer combo), upstairs bathroom with shower over bath + toilet and downstairs toilet, as well as a patio garden with a picnic bench and BBQs!
- It is located in a nice, quiet residential area just off Iffley Road, very close to the river with a path through the nature reserve. We're really close to all the Magdalen Road cafes, Hamblin Bakery etc. The house is walking distance to the city centre, Cowley Road, and a lovely nature reserve.
- Bikes can be locked to a rail in the front garden or brought through the house and kept in the back garden.
- Parking is available on the street with a permit; there are two permits allocated to the house, both of which are available. There is some free parking within a 10 minute walk for guests, or overnight-only parking at the bottom of the road.
- The house is owned & taken care of by landlords who live nearby (so much better than working with agencies) who are friendly and always on hand to help get things sorted.
You'll share with Sophie, Johanna and Bec, who all work in some capacity at the University
- Johanna is doing a PhD in Economics and really into plants and gardening. She enjoys sewing, knitting, running, and swimming, and sings in a choir.
- Bec is a keen cook, cyclist and runner! A big advocate for the outdoors but enjoys a cosy and clean home to come back too. She works at the University as a post-doc.
- Sophie works in communications at the University, and enjoys cycling, yoga, pub quizzes, and also sings in the choir with Johanna!
About how we live together:
- We like a relaxed home. We enjoy spending time together but also have our own busy schedules. We do a housemate dinner on Sundays for all the housemates who can make it.
- We have a weekly chore rota and would like a housemate who can commit to doing one of the weekly cleaning chores per week.
- We occasionally have guests over and it’s no problem to have someone stay for a few nights, either in the bedroom or in the living room.
Please contact us with a little description of yourself and what you’re looking for in a house! It's important for us that any new housemates are a good fit to make the house feel comfortable, clean and cozy :)
We're aiming to do viewings on the following dates:
- 8 June 7-9 pm
- 10 June 5-9 pm
Best,
Sophie, Johanna & Bec
