I’m Alex, a 39-year-old professional female working from home, and I’m looking for a like-minded housemate to share my lovely, light-filled two-bedroom flat in Oxford. I also live with my little Chihuahua, Max, who is very much part of the package.

About Max 🐶
Max is my absolute fur baby, so loving dogs is essential. He’s not a typical yappy chi (unless DPD or the postman dares to appear) and has lots of “big dog” energy packed into a small body. After a few days of settling in, he usually becomes a full-time snuggle buddy. I walk him twice a day to keep him stimulated, and he has trusted walkers and sitters when I’m away. I’m looking for someone I can genuinely trust to care for him with the same love and attention I do.

Please note: when you first visit, he will bark. Ignoring him for a few minutes does the trick.

The Flat
The flat is bright, spacious, and well laid out, with:
Two bedrooms
A balcony
A communal garden
Kitchen, lounge, and bathroom shared.

You’ll have full access to all areas of the flat. As I work from home, I mainly use the kitchen and living room during the day, so these spaces will occasionally be unavailable while I’m working.

The desk currently in the room will be removed, and storage options will be adjusted before move-in. I’m happy to discuss furniture and make the space work for you.

What I’m Looking For
Ideally someone who doesn’t work from home, so we both have our own space during the day
Someone clean, tidy, and respectful of shared spaces
A dog-lover who’s happy living with Max
Preferably female, though I’m open-minded if you feel like the right fit

Important House Boundaries
Unfortunately, I can’t accommodate couples, and the room is for one person only
This also means no additional people staying over on a regular or overnight basis
Smoking is fine occasionally and socially, but outside only, and not regularly

Bills & Cleaning
All bills are included in the rent
I currently have a cleaner, which I’d like to keep in place. This is included in the rent.

Location & Transport
A short walk to the number 10 bus, which runs directly into the city
You can also walk to Holloway, where there are alternative bus routes to Headington and Oxford city centre
Well connected while still being in a quiet, residential area
Parking
Visitor parking available within the close
Free road parking from 5pm–9am

The room is available from February (some flexibility for the right person).
