Description

Looking for someone to move into this room for mid-late June, ideally someone long-term.

This lovely and spacious room is located in a cosy, queer-friendly home, a 15-minute walk from the city centre!
It's got all the facilities you could need (find them listed below) and two wonderful housemates.

THE ROOM
This is a large furnished ground-floor room, with lots of storage. The room comes with: double bed, wardrobe, bookshelves, draws, mirror and a huge desk! The furniture has been accumulated by past tenants (they don't belong to the landlord) so there is flexibility if you wish to move some of your own furniture in.
Despite being on the ground floor, it's really quiet and feels very private. The window is double-glazed and faces out onto the garden, so you get some lovely sunlight during the day.

Rent: around £620 (bills included)

FACILITIES
- Kitchen: oven and hob, washing machine, and lots of fridge and freezer space
- Dining room and living room, with a communal TV
- Tumble dryer (but also space to hang washing so this doesn't drive bills up too much)
- Fast broadband (3 of us can all stream at the same time with no problems and I regularly have online meetings when I work from home)
- Lots of storage space (in the room and in shared spaces)
- Small back garden (with space for bike storage)

HOUSEMATES
Louise and Roxy are lovely and considerate people to live with. They both work in Oxford, at Oxford University Press (Louise) and Odeon on George St (Rox). We all are quite busy so will often only catch each other after work for a chat, but we also make time for house dinners, pub trips and occasional house parties together. It's a really calm and peaceful home, and they are super chill and easy to get on with. I will really miss them!

AREA
It’s a beautiful area, less than a 5-minute walk from the canal. There’s lots of natural space around despite being so close to the centre, and some lovely parks, including Hinksey where you can go swimming in the summer! There’s some nice local cafes and pubs, both as you head into the centre and down Abingdon Road.

It’s super convenient to walk into the centre (15mins max). There’s also a bus stop at the end of the road (2mins away) from which you can really easily get to Cowley Road (18mins), Headington (30mins), Abingdon (35mins). Oxford train station is a 20min walk away.
