Double room in Jericho (OX1)

We’ve got a lovely double room available in our 6-person house (currently 2 boys and 3 girls).

We’re based in Jericho - a super convenient spot that’s about a 5-minute walk to the city centre and around 10 minutes to Oxford train station. The house is tucked away near Walton Street and Little Clarendon Street in a quiet, well-kept area.

The house is fully furnished, three bathrooms, with a spacious open-plan kitchen/living room and a TV. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge and freezer, and we also have a washer and tumble dryer. There’s a decent garden, plus space at the front for storing bikes.

There’s a Co-op just a minute away, and Tesco and Sainsbury’s are only a 5-10 minute walk too.

We’re all young professionals - generally a quiet house, but we like relaxing in the evenings and occasionally heading out for a pub trip or quiz. We’re looking for a friendly, sociable flatmate, with the move-in date being flexible, but ideally ASAP.

Quick note: we recently had a one-off flooding issue due to a broken pipe (not a recurring problem). It affected the utility room and living area, but the landlord is sorting it, and there’s a 25% rent reduction until it’s fully resolved, which is imminent as works are wrapping up (yay new living room!).

We deal directly with the landlord, who’s genuinely lovely and really helpful.

Rent is £800 pcm, and bills usually bring it to around £925. Professionals preferred, but we’re also open to students who are happy to contribute towards council tax (included in the £925).
