Description

We have a lovely room available in our shared 3-bedroom house in central Oxford. We are located right next to South Park, just off St Clement's Street. It’s a fantastic location with easy access to Marston and Headington, a 5-minute walk to Cowley Road, and 15 minutes to the city centre. The rail station is a 30-minute walk (or a quick bus/cycle ride) away.

We are situated on a quiet, family-friendly street. We’re a friendly, clean, and LGBTQ+-friendly household. We enjoy socialising together but also fully respect each other’s downtime and space. You’ll be sharing with Mathias and me (Laurence), both DPhil students at the University of Oxford.

The room: Located on the second floor right next to the bathroom, the room is bright, cozy, and features a large window overlooking the garden. It comes fully furnished with a small double bed, desk, chair, and two built-in wardrobes.

Shared spaces: A well-equipped kitchen and a cozy living/dining room facing the garden. A garden with outdoor furniture and a shed for storage. Main bathroom with a shower and separate bathtub, plus a second toilet downstairs. We have one shared parking spot for the house

We lease through Hamptons, who are highly professional and responsive. I’ve lived here for three years and have a great relationship with them.
The rent price is currently an estimation as we are awaiting our lease renewal. Bills are roughly £50/month each.

We are looking for a female housemate, student only, preferably post-grad, to move in at the beginning of September. The contract is on a monthly rolling basis, but we’re ideally looking for someone interested in a longer-term stay (6+ months)

About us:

Laurence (she/her): 3rd year DPhil in Engineering Science. I’m French and Canadian and have been in Oxford for 4 years. I love basketball, running (when not injured!), pub trips, and hanging out with friends.

Mathias (he/him): 1st year DPhil in Environmental Economics. Originally from Austria, I've called Oxford home since autumn of 2023. When I'm not in front of my laptop, you can find me running or walking around, taking pictures of places, cooking and sharing meals with friends, or soaking up the sun (if there is any).
