We are looking for somebody to take over my room in a lovely three-bedroom flat just behind the train station and across the canal from Jericho. It’s a beautiful, quiet location right next to the river (don’t worry, the flats weren’t flooded), but trains and buses are only a 5 minute walk away, as is Port Meadow, Jericho is only 15 minutes walk across the canal, and the town centre is only about 20 minutes away on foot, depending on how long your legs are! However, it is not suitable for car owners because there is no parking space available and no option for purchasing parking permit either.

This is a double room – it’s cosy with a double bed, large built in wardrobe, a bookshelf, large set of drawers, and a desk. It comes fully furnished!

The flat is part of a relatively new development so is modern and spacious with a large hallway and shared living area as well as two built-in cupboards in the hall providing a lot of storage space. The bathroom is very large, contains a bath and shower, and is shared with only one other flatmate (the other room is en suite) – it has really great water pressure and the boiler is new so the heating there and in the rest of the flat is very effective! The kitchen is more compact but fully equipped with washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, and microwave, with enough space and storage for three.

The current flatmates are a girl and a guy aged 26 and 28, a postgraduate student and professional respectively. They’re very clean, tidy, and considerate, but also really friendly and keen to spend time together when possible. The flat is let through an agency, which is based nearby in Jericho and very reliable when called on. The rent itself is £422. 5pcm, not including council tax and other bills, which should come to around £120 in total – £540 pcm is an estimate but should cover everything. We are looking for a professional tenant to split the council tax. There is also a deposit of about £650 to the agency and additional administrative fees of £150 that they charge.

The room is available from 23rd July until 28th September 2014. Also it is possible to renew the contract until 28th of September 2015 with the current flatmates helping in finding people to replace them– if you’re interested or have any questions please get in touch!
