Description
This room is also available as a short let at £225 per week.
A WARM WELCOME - from Nasreen, Sulma and Sanah. I am seeking a respectful, friendly housemate to share our home with myself and my two daughters aged 18 and 24.
This would suit a working professional, postgraduate or post-doc. Someone new to Oxford, working at the hospitals or Universities, or looking for a short-term let or in between places. I’ve hosted several lodgers from all over the world and really enjoyed sharing my home.
The location is walking distance to the JR Hospital, and close to the other hospitals and both universities, and conveniently located in a quiet cul-de-sac. I have a unique approach to letting, and believe in providing comfortable accommodation at a fair rent, along with a responsive service. Unfortunately, we cannot accept couples, or request that pork products are not brought into the house.
THE ROOM - ground floor street facing has a continental size double bed with a pocket sprung 140 x 200cm mattress, 6 drawer chest of draws, floor to ceiling wardrobe, desk and bedside table. The downstairs shower room is next to the bedroom, and mainly for your use. The rent includes all bills, cleaning and gardener. Occasional overnight guests are fine.
THE HOUSE - was extended and fully refurbished throughout without compromise. The EPC rating is high, the kitchen has granite worktops, the fixtures are the best we could afford for a simple modern look. You have the use of lovely gardens and there is off-road parking for 2 cars. The road is quiet and residential, yet close to city centre, hospitals, all amenities, and easy transport. There is a large garden “shed-servatory" where we lock up our bikes
TO REASSURE YOU - Previous lets have succeeded because we respect each other's privacy, yet are happy to share a chat and a cup of tea. I use the DPS to safely store your deposit. I am an Oxford City Council accredited landlord and have membership of The National Landlords Association. I do our best to act professionally and put the needs of the residents first. We hope to have the opportunity to show you the house, Nasreen Majeed
TESTAMONIAL FROM PATRICIA, resident 2019 - The room is very comfortable and Nasreen took care of providing lots of space for clothes. The neighbourhood is quiet and there is a delightful 20-minute walking path to the city center, always good for relaxing. The garden is also well-kept and the house is environmentally-friendly: they do separate collections for recycling, there is a compost bin in the backyard and it is a smoke-free space. The environment in Nasreen's house is more than comfortable: it is cosy and welcoming. Nasreen is always alert to solve problems very promptly and also to help foreigners not used to the habits and rules of Britain, like myself. They are very dedicated landlords and as a result, you are at risk of getting a new friend!
TESTAMONIAL FROM TRACY, resident 2018:
12 Beechey Avenue was home for a few months whilst I worked at the JR hospital close by. Nasreen and her beautiful family made every effort to ensure I was comfortable and considered. The room itself is spacious with plenty of storage room and the bathroom next door means everyone has their space and privacy. I enjoyed my time at Beechey Avenue thoroughly.
