Beautiful room in Victorian terraced house which has been renovated from top to bottom with all mod cons.

Wonderful location, looking onto a peaceful meadow but only 15 minutes' walk from the city centre and even less to the new Westgate shopping centre; 20 mins walk from the railway station.

The room, on the first floor, has a comfortable single bed. There is sole access (except occasionally when I'm at home if friends visit) to a renovated bathroom next to the room, with freestanding bath and walk-in shower.

Use of first floor lounge and study area with TV. Use of ground floor living / dining room / kitchen with large wall-mounted TV.

The bedroom has fitted wardrobes; a chest of drawers, lamp, stripped pine floor, recessed ceiling lights, double glazed sash window. Amazon Echo Dot in the room for personal use.

High speed broadband via wifi or with data point in room.

Kitchen with two ovens, microwave, dishwasher, washer-dryer, fridge-freezer, induction hob, coffee machine.

Excellent location: just 15 minutes walk from Carfax, 11 minutes from John Lewis, 1 minute from country fields, 4 minutes to outside heated public pool, boating lake, tennis courts; a few mins from the towpath; 2 minutes to local church (where I am a member).

Residential parking permit available from the Council (fee payable); secure bike ring also available on the front of the house.

Regular cleaner for the whole house included.

I currently live here on my own for part of the week (typically Mon-Fri); and am joined on occasional weekends by my wife who lives and works in Southampton. When I'm not living in the house, you will have sole use of the ground floor living area and first floor rooms.

I'm looking for a thoughtful, quiet and friendly person, male, who will come to enjoy the house as much as I do and who will look after it well. I'm a scientist working at the Harwell Campus near Didcot; in my spare time I enjoy photography, and playing acoustic guitar and bass, and a bit of baking.
