Large ensuite double, for postgrad student/au pair

This is not a usual advert for a room - we're a small family in a village just outside of Oxford, looking for a live-in (female) student who is also interested in being our au pair.

We are a small family, myself (an academic) and two children aged 7, living in a large, family home in Tackley - a well-connected village close to Woodstock/Blenheim Palace. The village has a pub, train station, school and community shop. It's a 10 minute train ride to Oxford and a 20 minute drive. We have had 3 au pairs over the past few years, all of whom we are still in touch with. Our current au pair is leaving soon, so we are looking for someone new from February/March 2022 (exact timing is flexible). We need help, around 15 hours a week, with school pick up 3 times a week, babysitting 2-3 times a month and light housework (we have a cleaner who comes once a week).

In return we offer a large en suite double room, with beautiful views and peace and quiet. All for minimal rent, and inclusive of bills, wifi etc. The house has five bedrooms, two living rooms, a big kitchen and a large garden with a gate leading out into open fields. At the top of the house is a loft conversion with a large, airy double bedroom (with desk, double bed and lots of storage space) and juliette balcony looking out over the fields, and an en suite bathroom (with bath/shower, basin, toilet and bidet). It's self contained and perfect for studying.

Ideally you'll be a mature female student, have experience looking after children and be responsible, kind, caring and fun. This would suit someone who enjoys family life and is also looking for a comfortable, private and airy space that's ideal for studying. You'd need a driving licence and experience to be able to help with after-school activities (e. g. taking the children to and from swimming lessons). If you don't have a car of your own then its possible to use ours.
