Large double room in Georgian cottage

Large room in lovely Georgian cotswold stone cottage with bags of character shared with friendly couple. We will be in and out during the tenancy so you'll often have the house to yourself.

The room is fully furnished, including a double bed with "ortho supreme" memory foam mattress and a lovely big double-glazed sash window which lets in lots of light and floods the room with sunlight in the afternoon and evening. There is a big wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Downstairs, there is a charming sitting/dining room area with comfy sofas, a dining table and a large stone inglenook fireplace and woodburner. The kitchen includes an American style fridge-freezer, induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. All crockery etc. is supplied.

The back garden is a good size with a Victorian stone outhouse at the end, so there is no shortage of storage space. There is a patio with a fire pit and BBQ which you are welcome to use.

All bills are included, including council tax and superfast fibre optic broadband.

Couples welcome (rent to be discussed).

Dogs welcome (extra deposit in case of damage to be discussed).

Although there is no official parking space, there is a free car park 30 seconds' walk away for residents of this row of cottages. There is also a layby which fits 5 cars across the road and a side road around the corner with free parking. Parking is not time-limited. We have never had any trouble parking close to the house.

About us:
Katie (40) works in publishing and Chris (38) is a teacher. We are kind, considerate, and used to living with other people. We hope you will feel comfortable here; you are welcome to have friends over, grow your own veg in the garden, have a BBQ and generally make yourself at home.

As mentioned, we will be in and out a lot, so you'll have the house to yourself often.

Location:
Witney is a beautiful old town with a lot to offer. There's a great social scene here and lots to do. The house is within Witney itself and is 10 minutes' walk from the town centre, where there are lots of lovely gastro pubs, restaurants, bars, a couple of night clubs, a cocktail bar, a micro-brewery, cafés, shops, a cinema, sports clubs and supermarkets. There are also quite a lot of beer festivals, food fairs etc. Witney has lots of young professionals and there's a friendly "Meet-Up" group. The house is ideally placed for Oxford, as it is to the east of the town, and the bus stop from Oxford is about 20 seconds from the front door. The area is quiet and safe.
