Room for rent in Country Cottage

Hi there,

I have been renovating a country cottage set in a half acre in Perthshire for the past 5 years. The cottage has beautiful farmland views, and sits just off the A90 with easy access to Perth and Dundee. The cottage comes with a conservatory, a home gym and dining room which you are welcome to use.

There's still a lot of renovations to complete (specifically in the kitchen and dining room), so some allowance for me getting odd jobs done on the weekend would be great. It is definitely a work in progress, but offers a tranquil spot to recharge after a hard day of work or studying.

Both the heating and hot water are powered by a wood burning stove, but I've chopped plenty of firewood so you shouldn't feel cold and the bonus is there is no heating bills and you get to spend the evenings sat beside a crackling fire. I'm happy to install an electric heater for your room if you'd like!

The house gets its water from a well with a £100 annual charge, and has its own septic system which saves money on council tax. The cooking gas comes from an LPG tank which I top up every 6 months for around £60.

I'm super busy with renovating the house, and would love to find someone with a similar interest in gardening and growing fruit and vegetables to help out in the garden - although there is absolutely no pressure to do so!

There are a number of apple trees, and plenty of currants, raspberries, strawberries and rhubarb which you are welcome to have. The chickens are currently on annual leave, but if you're up for helping care for them then there will be fresh eggs too.

I'm a pretty social person and love making new friends. Besides DIY and gardening I enjoy hiking, kayaking, watching horror movies, making art, cooking and bird watching.
