Room available in the village of Spittalfield, a super quaint village of about 150 people around 30 minutes North of Perth.

Great bus links into Perth and the nearest train station/local pub (complete with sauna in the winter and an excellent monthly pub quiz) is in the beautiful toon of Dunkeld (about 5 miles by bike/bus). It's very well connected and doesn't feel remote at all. Lovely and quiet though.

Very well situated between Edinburgh (about and hour and a half) and the Highlands. Stonesthrow from a number of communally managed agricultural projects with great volunteering opportunities.

We are Bren, an Osteopath who runs a clinic from the house on odd days and Freida (not a couple), who is head grower at a local market garden.

We have a beautiful garden which was a bit of a wasteland when we moved in and is taking a fair amount of work to get into good shape. Currently hoping to get some more terraces cut into the hill, develop a wee orchard and get some veg beds up and running over the winter for growth in the Spring. Would love to find someone eager to help out or come along for that journey.

Could be suitable for one person or a couple who either work remotely or are keen/able to find some work locally. Tons of opportunities in the nearby towns. Looking for folk who are super tidy (ie willing to do dishes whether they are theirs or not), fun, chill, active, outdoorsy and are or have put in a bunch of work to themselves.

We often share food and eat together and live as a bit of an unconventional family, though with excellent boundaries and tons of personal space (it's a big old house which makes it easy.).

House is owned by the local estate and heating comes from a air source heat pump which can be a little pricey in Winter but the solar balances it in Summer.

It's a great place to live with lots of super interesting and likeminded people in the surrounds, as well as access to a lot of very stunning countryside.
