We have a double bedroom with an additional large room that can be used as an upstairs lounge. We are just completing the garden refurb and will be decorating both rooms shortly.
The house is a large five bedroomed property with two bathrooms one bath and one shower, both have toilet facilities situated on the first floor. The ground floor is the kitchen, separate dining room and a lounge. All rooms are generously proportioned and spacious. There is a front garden and rear garden and on-street parking. The room for rent is on the second floor (not the first floor), the stairs are central to the house and there are quite a few, so please be mindful of this - you won't need to be Tenzing Norgay, but it's worth a mention.
Llandrindod Wells is a pretty quiet affair, there is a bar at the end of the street, the description 'townhouse' is accurate - we're in town. I'd describe the location as 'leafy and quiet - occasionally vibrant on summer evenings at the weekend'.
Shops, supermarkets, public transport (bus and train) links are all within walking distance as is the main A483 north/south route to Newtown/Builth Wells. Tennis courts, community garden, river, parks, lake and bowls green are also a short walk away. We moved here three years ago and very happy we did. A ten minute walk gets you into the countryside.
We both have full-time jobs in professional capacities (whatever that means) and work from home most days. We have experience of house sharing with overseas students and UK renters. We're friendly and like to engage with our renters but respect privacy, yours and ours.
I have ticked vegan/vegetarian preferred but this is not a deal breaker. Additionally, if you are a smoker, that doesn't bother us but it is a non-smoking house. Pets, we aren't looking for pets, thanks.
The room is available for viewing but please bear in mind we are in the process of preparing to decorate. The bed is a king size and there will be a new mattress.
There are photos of the bedroom included in the ad. Any personal items of ours will of course be removed from the room to allow you space for your belongings. There is a wardrobe, that will remain in the room for your use. Equally, the upstairs lounge has items of ours and these will also be relocated to storage.
If you cycle, plenty of room in the garden accessible basement. There is also room for storage of personal items, if that is necessary.
