Description
Pictures coming soon! My current housemate is in the process of moving out to be with her boyfriend and closer to university, so I'm looking for a housemate to replace her. My current housemate doesn't have a moving out date currently, so trying to get ready for when she goes.
About me:
- I am 30, female, mostly keep to myself, but someone who would be up occasional meals out or tagging along to occasional local events would be nice.
- I work as tutor for students who aren't currently in mainstream education, so typically leave the house about 9am, return for lunch most days, then back off again.
- I'm usually away every other weekend, so you would have the property to yourself then.
- I like keeping the place fairly tidy and organised, but I'm clueless when it comes to gardening or maintenance, so friends usually help with these tasks.
- I love to read, cosy up in my room to watch TV, write pub quizzes for a local pub and other fairly quiet activities, I'm a bit boring in that way!
Ideal person:
- A good communicator. I'm not always great at picking up on unspoken things, so feel comfortable to be direct with me.
- Doesn't work from home, the property just isn't really suited
- Considerate; a quick text to say you have a friend coming over soon, don't leave your dirty dishes in the sink for days, put the bins out if you're home etc.
- Mature, a little more worldly with fun stories to tell!
The property:
- An older house, but has some more modern updates.
- Council tax band C.
- One good sized shared bathroom with a shower and bath.
- 2 double bedrooms with permission from the landlord to decorate how you wish within reason.
- Nice sized kitchen with plenty of cupboard space.
- No dryer in the property currently, but there is space for one and I do plan on installing one soon.
- Two car space driveway, one space would be yours.
- Two brick built sheds.
- Nice sized garden which is an absolute sun trap during the day.
- Located just off the town square, 5 minute walk to the butchers, 10 minutes to co-op.
- Unclear at this time what furniture will remain in the property from my housemate, but I intend to replace or will have available most kitchen and living room items for your use too.
The rent includes utilities and I'm sure you'll find is a really good price for the area. Get in touch for a viewing and a chat, as soon as I have a firm availability date, I will post!
