Alness is a lovely, picturesque town north of Inverness, with good transport links, beautiful walks by the River Averon, woodlands for mountain biking, on the NC500 route, great for cycling trails, hill walking of course, wild swimming, kayaking & SUP in the Cromarty Firth, has a golf course, close by whisky distilleries & so much more to explore!
