Gairloch holiday let 5 metres from the shoreline

Holiday let for four @£200 per night or £1,000 per week. One double with en-suite, one twin next to bathroom. A further bedroom with en-suite is sealed off but could be made available by negotiation.

The house is, literally, 5 metres from the shoreline on the North Coast 500 route in Wester Ross. The Isle of Skye is 15 miles distant, the Outer Hebrides another 20 miles, then next stop is the USA.

All bedrooms and the lounge face due west, directly into the sunset; all west-facing rooms have blackout blinds. There is no road in front of the house, only the cliff footpath; the tarmac stops at the house. The rear of the house is totally private and cannot be overlooked.

The kitchen has a double-fronted fridge / freezer, double oven, top oven, microwave, ceramic hob, food prep area, breakfast bar, washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing area.

Lovely Gairloch is the perfect getaway to enjoy the great outdoors, with hill walking, forest trailing, kayaking, fishing and photography at the top of many people's list. The GALE Centre has lots of information and is a super place to hang out and, of course, you're just 8 miles away from Inverewe Gardens.

The house is truly isolated from the rest of the village and if you bring a food supply with you can live in that glorious isolation for as long as you stay. On the other hand, if you need supplies, or just contact with other human beings, you're within walking distance of two grocery stores, a butcher, a greengrocer, two hotels, a bookshop and café, the GALE Centre, two restaurants, a fish 'n chip shop (very important!), a Chinese takeaway, a medical centre, a pharmacy, a Post Office, a golf course, several churches, an outdoor goods outlet and a DIY store. There's even a local police station which, amazingly, has real policemen inside, and we have our own radio station, Two Lochs Radio. In the harbour, you can find various sea trips on offer - and another Post Office!

I hope you'll decide to stay while you explore Gairloch, but if you decide my home isn't the place for you I hope you'll still visit Gairloch and have a wonderful time. The area is outstandingly beautiful and the area has everything you need for an unforgettable holiday.
