Lovely spacious double room (all bills inc)

We have a lovely furnished double room available in our relaxed and friendly home in Batheaston.

The room is a very spacious top-floor dormer room, with plenty of natural light, good storage and several separate areas, making it feel much more generous than a standard double room. It would work well for someone who wants a comfortable, peaceful space to relax, work or study.

We are an easy-going household and are looking for someone we get along well with, who would enjoy being part of a warm, homely atmosphere. The house would probably best suit a young professional or postgraduate, although we are open to the right person.

Batheaston is a quiet and attractive area with beautiful views towards Solsbury Hill, and there are some lovely walks nearby. There are a few local pubs, convenience stores for everyday essentials, and Gather, a great breakfast and lunch café, within about a five-minute walk.

The house is not right in the centre of Bath, which we really enjoy because the area feels fresh, relaxed and peaceful. That said, it is still easy to get into town. There is a bus stop right outside the house with buses going directly into Bath city centre and Bath Spa railway station. Our favourite way to get into town is by bike, using the lovely traffic-free canal route. A car or bike would be useful, especially for getting to work or doing bigger shops. There is free parking outside the house, with no permit required, and if you work at the University of Bath there is a convenient back route which avoids much of the city centre congestion.

The house has a spacious living room with very comfortable sofas and a fireplace, which we use most evenings during the winter. There is also a large rear garden with beautiful views, which really comes into its own in the summer and is great for relaxing in the sun or having a BBQ.

The kitchen is large and well equipped, including a dishwasher, and there is an attached dining room, so there is plenty of space to cook, eat and relax.
