Riverside Home + Parking

We are located beside the river and canal in Bath.

The room has a memory foam mattress, new bed and built in storage space plus a tall boy and laptop table.

The room is a single room - whilst it isn’t enormous, we have been renting the room for just over 2 years now and all our lodgers have been very happy and comfortable in our peaceful home. I like my lodgers to feel like this is their home, as much as it is ours.

Shared areas include: kitchen, lounge, dining room, bathroom & garden. There is also a desk space downstairs which you would be welcome to use. The TV has Netflix, Prime and BBC. The kitchen includes an air-fryer and dishwasher. We take turns to unload the dishwasher 2 x a week. Sorting the recycling is everyone’s responsibility : )

Please note we only have one bathroom, it needs to be shared, so you would need to be mindful about this.

From our house we have excellent transport links into Bath. There is free parking (for the time being, but the council are currently consulting on this). It takes 3-4 mins to walk to the bus stop and it is a short 6-8 min bus journey into Bath.

If you want to walk into the city centre, it takes 20-25 mins along the canal to Pultenay Bridge, or bike it in 10 mins.
Sydney Gardens and Larkhall Village are both a short walk away. The canal towpath is 5 mins away and is perfect for walking/running for exercise. We also have a shed for bike storage.

You would be sharing with myself, my son (17) and our Scottish Fold (cat) - Ronnie. I am a teacher and enjoy meeting new people from all walks of life. My son is quiet and likes to be left to himself.


Please note I am looking for lodgers who are enrolled in a course full time, or who are working close to full-time hours. Working from home is not an option… in the depths of winter the heating is scheduled to come on in the morning and the evening. I am looking for someone who is used to sharing a home and is thoughtful.

All gas safety certificates are available for viewing, and the house has carbon monoxide and smoke detectors.
