Description
EDIT:07/08/24 My landlord has today said they are planning a rent increase in November, which will be approx £35pppm. Please consider this in your budget when replying to the add. He has also decided that pets are no longer allowed, even caged animals, which is a shame as we have enjoyed having pets in the past.
Spacious Room for rent in the loveliest professional houseshare, BA1 postcode nearly 1 mile from the city centre. Close to the river for flat, pleasant walks into town[ less than 25 mins] but far enough out to be away from the tourist crowds.
This room is great if you dont have a car as its pretty central to everything, though there is parking on our road. It is not a through road, so very little traffic to deal with, and very quiet. We have lovely neighbors [there is even a WhatsApp chat for the road] and big leafy trees on the street.
Location & Perks:
Transport links: There is a bus stop at the end of our road that has all busses into Bath. It also picks up busses like the 39x, 19 and A4 Flyer into Bristol so is ideal for nights out or trips to Bristol Airport.
Local walkabke pubs include The Locksbrook, Electric Bear, The Hop Pole, Victoria Kitchen and the Royal Oak.
Chelsea Road is your nearest high street, with Rooted Cafe on the corner with a Spar and Mini Tesco nearby. Victoria Park is a 10 min walk away, and Pure Gym Spring Wharf is basically in our backyard. Oldfeild park train station is an 8 min run from our door.
This room is the only one in the house with two built in wardrobes, and still plenty of room for a large bed, chest of drawers and bedside table, and a chair. Although the house is furnished throughout, the room will come unfurnished so you can bring your own things and put your personal touch on it The room has a bay window which lets in loads of natural light, throughout the day and early evenings.
This is a really friendly, easy going houseshare, with everyone working locally in Bath and being in their late 20's/early 30's. We respect each other' space and sleep, so this would not suit a party animal. The landlord is local in Bath, wants adults who will look after his home and hasn't raised our rent in 5 years, hence the affordable rent and quality of the house.
There is a box room that currently is used as my office/laundry hanging room, so if you work from home, this is ideal since it is a separate space to the bedroom. This is technically a shared room and can be discussed.
Large garden with outdoor furniture and huge shed for storage.
The kitchen is an extension on the house, and has granite counter tops which are stunning. A large fridge and full size freezer as well. There is a double oven and 5 burner gas hob, with loads of cabinets for all of us.
I am buying a home with my partner hence why I am moving and am truly sad to be leaving this place. I have lived here for several years and this truly felt like home. We are looking for a female, as I am a female leaving and want to keep the balance. The house is Council Tax band D.
We will be having housemate interviews next week in the evening. Please include some basic details of yourself when responding such as age, profession hobbies and why you want to live in our lovely home. Thank you!
