Spacious Double Room in Southdown House

Hi there, we are looking for someone to take over my contract as I have unfortunately been made redundant from work, and will be moving back to Essex.

The house is lovely and spacious, it has a large kitchen, separate dining room, and living room downstairs. And then 1 bathroom, an office/spare room, and 2 double bedrooms upstairs. You will have 1 bedroom and shared access to the rest of the house. There is also a front and back garden, including a garage that can be accessed via the back garden.

Hannah will be your flatmate, she is 24, a working professional and keeps 4 pet mice. She likes pub quizzes, cards, and dancing.
She is clean and doesn’t make much noise.

The house is semi-furnished, a lot of the furniture is owned by Hannah. You would need to furnish your own room, however there is an inbuilt wardrobe and cupboard, so essentially you will just need a bed. There is plenty of room for a double, or even a king if that’s how you choose to live your life.
The kitchen has all white goods, including fridge/washing machine/kettle/toaster/microwave/etc however you will need to bring your own cooking equipment/cutlery/crockery.

The best parts of the house are the kitchen, which is very spacious, 4/6+ cupboards each, and has a large gas hob with 7 burners, a double oven, a grill, and a warming cupboard, and the office, which is really handy for WFH days.

It’s a great location, there is a Tesco 3 mins walk away, you are on a direct bus route to town (takes about 15 mins and buses are every 15mins) or you can walk (35 min walk) however walking back from town is uphill so takes longer. It’s a 10/15 min walk into Oldfield park which has shops, cafes, and a train station.

Rent is £725. Bills are shared, council tax is about £200 total.
