Looking for affordable accommodation in Bath – Oct

Hello! My name is Susan. I’m originally from Peru, but I currently live in Brazil. I’m 35 years old, and I will be coming to Bath to undertake part of my PhD at the University of Bath.

I will be arriving on 13 October 2026 and I need accommodation until 17 February 2027.

I’m looking for a simple, safe and affordable room, ideally as cheaply as possible. My maximum budget is £450 per month, including all bills and expenses.

I’m a very organised, clean, quiet and respectful person. I’m also happy to help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, shopping or other practical activities. If someone is open to it, I would be interested in a reduced-rent arrangement in exchange for a reasonable amount of household help or companionship, as long as the arrangement is clear and mutually agreed.

I am also a lesbian and I’m currently in a relationship with a woman. I’m looking for a friendly, respectful and inclusive home where everyone feels comfortable.

Could you please let me know:

• How far is the property from the University of Bath?
• Is it possible to walk or cycle to the university?
• Are there buses nearby?
• Are there supermarkets, bakeries and other essential shops nearby?
• Are all bills and expenses included in the monthly rent?
• Would you accept a tenant for exactly 13 October 2026 to 17 February 2027?
• Would you consider a reduced-rent arrangement in exchange for some household help?
