I have a furnished double room available in a well-kept, architect-extended detached stone cottage on the Trinity side of Frome.

The house has been thoughtfully extended and refurbished over the years and includes a large open-plan kitchen / living / dining space with doors opening to the garden, a separate sitting room with wood burner and TV, two bathrooms, one with walk-in shower on the ground floor, and another with a bath and shower over on the first floor. The property has a private enclosed garden.

It’s a three-bedroom house. I use the smallest bedroom as my office when working from home.

Downstairs has underfloor heating and upstairs has radiators.

The house is tucked away behind Selwood Road and Castle Street and accessed through a small tunnel between historic weavers’ cottages, which gives it a surprisingly private and peaceful feel despite being very central.



The Room

A furnished double room on the first floor with:

• King-size bed
• Built-in wardrobe
• Chest of drawers
• Original stone chimney breast

The room is comfortable and light, and the house offers generous shared living space downstairs.

The kitchen includes:

• Fridge freezer
• Oven
• Induction hob
• Microwave
• Dishwasher
• Washing machine

There is also an additional washing machine and tumble dryer in the outhouse, along with an extra tall freezer if needed.



About Me

I’m a self-employed architect / project manager. I mostly work from home, although meetings and projects sometimes take me away for a couple of days or so, at a time.

It’s a calm, tidy and well-looked-after home and I value a relaxed, respectful atmosphere.

Ideally I’m looking for someone grounded, easy to live with, and comfortable sharing a home rather than simply renting a room. The house tends to work best when people are fairly independent but happy to share the occasional chat, meal, or glass of wine.

It’s generally a calm home rather than a party house, though friends visiting, the occasional dinner or drink, special occasions, or the odd summer gathering in the garden are absolutely fine.

I do smoke, but always outside — never inside the house (strict house rule - rain or shine!)
