Care Exchange for Rent - Home Share Opportunity

We're looking for a warm, reliable person to share a beautiful cottage in Frome in exchange for supporting an older woman with companionship and light household tasks.

The arrangement
Around 15 hours a week of your time, focused on evenings and weekends, in exchange for your own private loft space. This is not a personal care or medical role; we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys older people's company, likes to cook, and wants to be part of a household rather than just a tenant.

What we're asking for
Company and regular presence for an older woman recovering from a hip fracture, help with shared cooking and family household tasks, and a kind, patient and reliable presence in the home.

What you get
Your own loft with a large double bedroom and private bathroom, a charming cottage with a beautiful walled garden, a parking space outside, and a contribution of just £50 per month towards bills.

A bit about the situation
My mum currently lives on the ground floor,, following her injuries, she has the living room and her bathroom there; and is looking for someone who will genuinely enjoy being part of her daily life.

She is independent in many ways but would benefit enormously from having a caring person around. The rest of the family live further afield, so having someone nearby who can offer regular company and a sense of community in the home means a great deal to us. This suits someone who values connection and a homely environment over a conventional rental.
