Description
**EDIT** I HAVE FOUND SOMEONE FOR THIS ROOM BUT I DO HAVE ANOTHER SMALLER, BUT SUNNY AND SUPER FUNKY ROOM TO RENT IN MY HOUSE. JUST CHANGING IT UP IT ATM SO NO PICS, AMANDA X I have a five bedroom townhouse in central Glastonbury. It is easy to walk to both the town and the Tor. My son has gone to university and is currently in Taiwan until summer 2025. After that, he will mainly only be here for the holidays and most likely only summer before he has found a new house at university.. I have a small cute Spitz dog called Ambe, so if you don’t like dogs it won’t work.
This room is in the middle floor of my house.. It has two sash windows, a kingsize bed, a walk in wardrobe and a wood burner. It is overlooked by a cedar tree. I currently have a tenant in there who is moving out on the 21st November. I may be able to get the room ready before 2nd December but I don't promise!
There is a bathroom, with bathtub and a shower above on the top floor and a downstairs toilet. The living room/ dining room/ kitchen are open plan. There is a small town garden which I would currently describe as having potential!. It's a sweet place to sit in the summer. You are welcome to share all communal spaces.
At the moment I prefer tenants who want to stay at least six months because I will be travelling in the next few months and I would rather not make changes whilst I am doing that.. I would like to live with people who are tolerant, kind, honest, have good boundaries and a sense of humour, have enough money to pay the rent and the bills, know how to do their fair share of keeping the house in reasonable order and not leaving loads of stuff around. I would like people who are willing to accommodate other people's needs without compromising their own. I think it’s important to be able to talk honestly and calmly and kindly about anything that arises in the household so everyone can relax and be themselves. I don't really want a party house vibe, just so you know! I prefer people who are working or doing other activities out of the house.
I am happy in my own company and don’t expect you to adhere to any particular house hold rhythm or specific lifestyle because I don’t particularly have one! I am not vegan or vegetarian. I don't smoke tobacco but I don't mind if you smoke outside but definitely no tobacco in the house. Please note * There will be an extra contribution for bills. It will be 1/4 of the utilities and council tax additional to the room rent. I also have another smaller room on the middle floor next to this one that I will be renting out but I am currently making some adjustments to it.
I look forward to meeting you and talking further, Amanda X
