We are looking for a professional housemate, to join us living in an elegant, very large shared house in the heart of Glastonbury. Current residents are ourselves , a male female couple, as live in Landlords and another lodger.
Please , applications ONLY from those who enjoy living in a shared situation , as opposed to any purpose of affordability or haste. Previous experience of living alongside others would be a bonus.
We have 2 separate kitchens, so as a second lodger you will share your kitchen with another lodger. Downstairs a shared living room with TV, open fireplace, cloakroom/toilet, plus utility areas and a very spacious hall, stairs and landing, lend themselves to a feeling of ample space.
The bedroom is at the back of the house, east facing, so very quiet and always catches the morning sun. It was completely re-decorated 4 years ago, along with refurbishment of the en-suite bathroom and a new wool carpet.
The bedroom has beautiful views over the garden, onto Chalice Hill, as shown in 1 of the photos
Generally mature professional household, as now all in our 50's and all working full time. Therefore general climate of the house is quiet into the evenings , yet sociable and welcoming .
Given the high costs of energy bills nowadays the applicant would preferably not be working from home, although this could be negotiable.
The bed in the room is different to the one shown in the photograph, it's a beige canvas ottoman ( bed platform lifts up to enable storage underneath).
The monthly rental fee of £700 includes some cleaning services throughout the shared living areas on a regular basis, all bills, internet etc. Usual ‘Lodger’ licencee contract is drawn up for living here.
We have an adorable well behaved cockenspaniel dog, so you will need to like dogs. We looking forward to hearing from you
