An older lady with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would also appreciate some general practical help around her home with day-to-day tasks such as picking up shopping (or going with her), cooking up to four or five simple meals each week, light cleaning and tidying and organising, simple IT/tech help (eg with TV controls, mobile phone), carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a bedroom furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and shared use of the shower room, kitchen, sitting room and garden. There is parking.

The property is in the village of North Petherton in Somerset, approx. 10 minutes’ drive from Bridgwater, and approx. 20 minutes’ drive from Taunton.

The lady is kind and good humoured and enjoys a friendly chat. She enjoys crafts such as gift card making, crochet and sewing and it would be lovely if a Sharer enjoyed these too. She also enjoys TV programmes such as Doc Martin, Catherine Cookson mysteries, The chase.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the lady’s interests.
