Double room in large rural house with pets

We are a family of 3 with a lovely downstairs double room going spare. We both work normal full-time hours (1 from home) and our son is at secondary school. We are looking for someone to lodge either on a short or long-term basis - what matters most is that we all get along. We are also open to a couple, with a rent negotiation TBD.

There is a shower room next to the bedroom which will be exclusively yours overnight (we will be upstairs).

Shared spaces:
* large well-equipped kitchen diner with 2 ovens and 2 fridges
* comfortable living room with TV (Sky, Netflix, Disney+, etc) and a few consoles
* conservatory - lovely in warmer weather
* utility & boot rooms - washing machine, storage, chest freezer
* large garage if you need to store anything, and has some gym equipment
* big garden with patio
* lots of parking

The room currently has a double bed, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. We are happy to add a desk, chair, TV - whatever would be needed to make it move-in ready. You're also welcome to bring your own furniture.

Our home is quiet and rural with walks on the doorstep. We have 3 cats and a large friendly dog, so an animal-lover is a must! You will also need a car because there is no public transport here.

We are very easy-going and keep normal Mon to Fri 9-5 hours. She works in web-dev and he is an AP teacher. We cook, we eat dinner together at the table every night, we garden, we listen to music (rock, mostly), we play cards and board games, we watch telly, we read, we walk the dog, we chill in the hot tub, and sometimes we craft or play computer games. We eat meat and drink alcohol. We don't smoke.

Our ideal is someone with similar tastes who wants to join us for family dinners and get involved a bit, but also there are plenty of rooms if you prefer to be alone. We do need someone who keeps 'normal hours', so no door-banging at 4am.

The rent includes utilities, broadband, council tax, use of the washing machine, dishwasher and TV. If you wish to eat with us then we can negotiate grocery costs etc.

Because we are a family, we are very particular about who we will let the room to. Therefore it's important that we meet at least once to get to know each other's vibe!
