This is for a nice single room in a friendly, professional house, very close to town centre (150 yds), walking distance to Musgrove Hospital, bus station, Train station, Hydro office etc.
The house is shared between 5 working professional people, who have expressed a desire for a similar flat mate to join them, 6 in total.
Currently the house is 4 females, 2 males. Either a male or female house mate is welcome.
The house is happy and friendly. We are looking for a respectful person who will muck in, keep things tidy, wash up, do a bit of shared cleaning, take their turn at taking the bins out etc (a cleaner once a fortnight is included in the rent for communal areas, so this keeps everything topped up and the house clean), someone who is respectful and doesn't rock up loudly in the small hours, who is friendly and nice to live with! Non Smoking. Apologies but no pets, couples, or children due to my licence conditions.
The room is a small single, it is light and nicely furnished. It is upstairs in a quiet part of the house. It shares a large shower room with two others (the other house mates share other shower rooms).
It has a bed, wardrobe, 2x chest of drawers, desk, chair.
It is a small room, not a large room, although it is very light. In the past it has been let as either a short 6 month option, a crash pad and as a room but with the opportunity to have first refusal when another room in the property becomes vacant (different rents apply).
The house has a shared kitchen, fully equipped, pots, pans, cutlery etc. Washing machine, (Not coin slot!),kettle, microwave, tumble dryer, freezer etc.
Also a shared Lounge, sunny garden,
There is no off street parking. The on road parking in the road 4 doors around the corner outside is by permit but this is a separate arrangement with the council for approx £100 a year.
There is a nice sunny garden and room to keep a bike if you need to.
Bills are included in the rent ; water, council tax, gas, reasonable electric, broadband(good speed), there is a communal tv licence for the lounge. Our lovely cleaner comes once a fortnight to clean communal areas (included in rent).
The house is timed heated (new gas 2023 boiler) to a good temperature and you have to option of a boost button which you can access at all times.
The room is available from February 5th 2025
