Double bedroom for cat lover with Study & storage

I’m looking for a quiet, friendly, professional housemate to share my recently renovated home in Taunton. The house is bright and fully furnished throughout with plenty of storage areas. You would share the house with myself, my six friendly cats, and also some fish, bearded dragon, gecko and a tarantula (don’t worry, all kept securely in vivariums!).

You’ll have use of:

• A fully furnished double bedroom, which comes with full length mirrored wardrobe, two chests of drawers, a clothes hanging rail, a bedside table and unit which you can put a TV on. Provided is small double bed, memory foam mattress, pillows, duvet and covers- all brand new!
• An office room that has a large sitting-standing desk, office chair and shelves with use of a shredder, printer and two spare screens if you work from home or hybrid work. This room would largely be yours, but on some occasions, I’d use it for artwork around your working pattern.
• A shared modern kitchen with multiple appliances including microwave, oven, hobs, air fryer, toaster, popcorn maker, mixer, dishwasher and a washer dryer. There are three surface areas allowing enough space to prepare food alongside each other when mealtimes overlap and a coffee/tea station.
• A shared bathroom with both a bath and a shower, then a separate room for the toilet.
• An open plan living room- dining area with large sofa, TV and table, which I’d primarily like as my space, however am happy for it to be enjoyed whilst I am out.
• Private garden with seating and table that gets lots of sun in the mornings through to mid afternoon
• Garage has some space for storage if needed.
• Parking available at rear of property, or on the road out the front with no restrictions
• High-speed fiber broadband
• Iron and Ironing board
• Central heating
• Bills included
• The property has a doorbell cam at the front and a camera at the back for security

About me:

I’m a respectful person who lives and values a quiet lifestyle. I enjoy company of other people, but also like a good balance of personal space. I work as a community nurse and often come and go from the property during the day both weekdays and weekends. My shift times remain within 8am-10pm, no night work. I enjoy gardening, arty hobbies, seeing friends and family, a little bit of gaming and some TV.

About the location, transport and amenities:

- The property is in a quiet and friendly neighborhood near the center of Taunton with good relationships to neighbors
- Both a good ASDA and Lidl are a 5 minute walk/ 2 minute drive away, with Taunton hosting plenty of other supermarkets and shops within a 10-15 minute drive
- There are excellent links; A 2 minute walk to the bus stop, a 15-20 minute walk along the river/canal or 10 minutes in the car to the town center or the train station. Musgrove Park Hospital is about a 10 minute drive.
- The motorway is 5 minute drive away giving easy access to travel by car, yet far enough away not to hear it.
- The river and canal and two parks are all within a 5 minute walk away, giving good access to cycling, pleasant walks or dog walking.

I’m looking for:

A considerate, tidy person who will treat the house and my belongings respectfully, who can effectively communicate and compromise together to make living together a comfortable experience for both of us. I’d like someone who tends not to come or go from the property or make noise before 7am or after 10pm. Some well behaved pets can be considered, however other cats unfortunately cannot due to potential territorial issues or stress.
