House & Dog Sitter Wanted – Free Accommodation in Beautiful Somerset Home

We are looking for a responsible, experienced house and dog sitter to care for our home and much-loved pets including a number of free-range chickens, in the peaceful village of Westcombe, Somerset. In exchange, we offer free accommodation in a spacious and characterful 6-bedroom house, surrounded by stunning countryside.

About the Opportunity:

This is a unique opportunity ideal for someone who works remotely, enjoys a quiet rural lifestyle, and has a genuine love for animals.

The arrangement will run for a minimum of 5 months, starting as soon as possible through to January 2026. For the right person, there is potential for paid lodging beyond this period.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous house-sitting experience (essential)

Proven experience caring for dogs (essential)

Able to commit for the full 5-month period

Own transport (Westcombe is a rural village with limited public transport)

Comfortable living in and maintaining a large home

Trustworthy, self-sufficient, and respectful of property and animals
