Description
Double room available in Victorian house from mid May, near to Yeovil centre and the hospital.
This would be sharing with me, Emily (owner), and my rescue dog, Melon - due to this, I am looking for someone quite specific, so please do read the whole advert.
THE HOUSE
My house is a three bed Victorian terrace, with a garden and patio. It’s near to the town centre, and a few minutes walk to the hospital.
The room is a decent double size, and there’s a built in wardrobe in one of the chimney breast alcoves, and is also furnished with a chest of drawers & tub chair.
Downstairs is an open plan lounge and dining room, with a kitchen, utility room and toilet at the back.
Upstairs, there’s two other bedrooms, one of which I use as an office, and the bathroom. There’s also lots of storage in the attic if needed.
On street parking is available, and an annual permit is £100.
MELON & ME
I’m 42 and work from home the majority of the time. Melon is a rescue which I’ve had for coming up to 2 years, and in the house he’s super chilled. However he is nervous, so this isn’t a party house, and guests need careful introductions. As soon as he knows someone, he’s fine, it just means that new people can’t randomly turn up without me there.
Most of my free time currently is based around training Melon and walks, but if I find any other time, then you'll generally find me out running.
ABOUT YOU
I’m looking for a female housemate, aged from 30+ upwards, and I’m not in a rush to rent the room - finding the right person is more important. It’s also important that you’re confident and happy around dogs.
RENT, BILLS ETC
The rent is £500 inclusive of bills except for gas & electric as these costs are just too hard to predict in the current situation - although there is a woodburner which keeps costs down and is great to snuggle up in front of on chilly nights. As an idea, over the winter the energy costs were about £130 a month so these can be spilt 50/50. The deposit would also be one months rent paid in advance.
If you’re interested or have any questions, please drop me a line and tell me a little about yourself.
