About The Housemates

Whilst we (the landlords, see below) have been away travelling we’ve had four awesome girls staying and taking great care of our lovely house. One of them is now sadly moving to be closer to work.

The remaining three are a lawyer, an environmental/waste manager, and a lab analyst . Aged between about 25 and 31. Two of them working from home some of the time.

We’re arranging the viewings and housemate search for them but they’re keen to meet prospective new people and we will give them the final say on who moves in with them.

About The House

Spacious downstairs rear double room to rent in a recently (2021) restored house just 15 minutes walk from Cardiff Bay and 20 minutes from the city centre.

Plenty of on street parking, no permits required.

Bills included: Gas, electric, council tax, water, Virgin 200Mb Broadband.

The bedroom is part furnished with: Double bed, chest of drawers, a small wardrobe, curtains and mattress.
The bedrooms all have sturdy fire doors and locks.

The kitchen has granite tops, a breakfast bar and extending dining table. It is well equipped with crockery, cutlery and a bunch of appliances including: washer, dryer, dishwasher, induction hob.

Sliding doors open out onto the sunny south facing garden. Planted in a low maintenance Mediterranean style with olive trees, herbs and bee friendly flowers.
There’s outside dining, rattan sofas and a rocking bench. Plenty of seating for hosting.
There’s a decent side alley with small undercover bike storage and with no rear access the garden is completely secure.

We have friendly and quiet neighbours. One in particular is an amazing cook and keeps us well fed over the wall!

We have three bathrooms. So you’ll never find yourself in a queue for the loo. The main one is a large room with a thermostatic drencher shower in a 1.7m shower tray, a lovely big sink and feature chimney breast. Two smaller bathrooms each have a shower sink and toilet.

The lounge has a TV, two three seater sofas, a foot stool and armchair. With plantation shutters for privacy.

About The Landlords

We’re Hannah and Jack.

We bought this place as a wreck three years ago and spent two years renovating everything from scratch using recycled and environmentally friendly materials as much as we could.

Jack is an engineering graduate who has been a live in landlord for about 5 years, ran a small ethical letting agency for four and then became an Airbnb super host for four years right up until the pandemic…

Hannah is a midwife at the Heath who has started a career break to take on our next project, sailing our wooden boat across the Mediterranean!
We welcome tenants from diverse backgrounds, and are just looking for nice people that will respect the house and fit in with the girls.
