Affordable room to let in a quiet but super-convenient area of Grangetown, just a 10 minute walk from the city centre and Bute Park, and 20 minutes from the bay.

We're a group of old university friends in our 20s, and our third bedroom is up for grabs from mid-September when one of us moves out. We work in entertainment and hospitality so our work patterns can be a bit all over the place (don't be surprised if one of us is is getting home at 4 in the morning and the other is leaving at 5...), but we make up for it by both having great social lives. We love pubs, live music, films, sport and weekends away, and we'd love to be joined by someone with the same interests!

The room itself is relatively small but comes with a double bed and wardrobe included, and we have a spacious open-plan living/dining area plus a decent-sized kitchen with a huge fan oven and gas hobs. The living area is only partially furnished, with some of the furniture belonging to our current housemate, but we'll be looking to spruce the space up with some new stuff once you've moved in - so if you have anything to add then even better, but no pressure if not - we love a good Ikea trip or charity shop hunt anyway!

At the time of writing the room is £360pcm (the share of the £1100pcm rent is based off the fact that it is one of the smaller rooms in the house) plus bills and council tax. On-street parking is available (no need for a permit!) and the area is clean and friendly. We think it strikes a perfect balance between the quiet comfort of a residential area and the convenience of being just a short walk from the bustling city centre!
