Beautiful 3 bedroom house in Riverside

Hi there

I'm offering a room to rent in an artist-owned 3-bedroom home, decorated/furnished to a high standard, with a host of unique features and touches.

The house is in Riverside (just on the edge of Canton) so a 7/8 minute walk from a host of shops, pubs, cafes, Chapter Arts Centre, and a little further on, bakeries and coffee shops in Pontcanna. Five minutes in the other direction you’ll hit Leckwith’s retail park with an Asda, Lidl and more, and we're a 15 minute walk from the city centre/Cardiff Central station.

The house has a large shared bathroom, with bath and shower, a fully equipped kitchen, and a relaxing living room space. There’s also a lovely patio garden out back which is south facing (so lots of light).

I’m offering a single room to a woman/non-binary professional (or mature student) over 30. I'm looking for someone who's friendly, warm, enjoys the occasional shared meal or conversation, but is equally comfortable doing their own thing and respecting boundaries. I'd like to avoid a living arrangement where someone feels like a stranger in my own home!! So if you need to keep yourself to yourself (perfectly legitimate) this might not be the place for you.

You'll be sharing with myself and another woman in her late 20's, who's a creative like me. I'm an arts professional / community activist who's worked in the cultural sector for 30 years. Also I'm a buddhist, feminist, passionate about social justice, trans rights, Palestinian liberation, what we're doing to our planet, and more. I love getting to know people, but also have a busy life and appreciate my own space, both are important.

Finally, we share cleaning in the house and do so on a regular basis!!! Anyone who joins the house will be expected to contribute.
