Room in Bright 2-Bedroom Home in Cathays

Hi there!

I’m looking for a friendly, tidy, and reliable housemate to join me in my lovely 2 bedroom home in Cathays bordering Roath. The room is available from 14th September 2026.

The Room:
- You'll be taking the larger bedroom of the two, unfurnished except for a bedframe and mattress, which are mine. It features a gorgeous fireplace and huge windows.
- Rent: £475 per month (bills excluded – council tax, water, electricity, gas and Wi-Fi together approx. £250/month.)

The House:
- My favourite thing about the house is that is very spacious (big kitchen and big bathroom) and there is a lot of natural light. The space is furnished by me.
- Shared spaces: bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, living room, garden, back room (currently used as dining room and laundry space).
- Amenities: Wi-Fi, washing machine, central heating, all the usuals. Residential parking available.
- I’ve been living here since April 2023, but I’m not the landlord.
- There's a cat! A friendly and gorgeous cat lives here, so it's essential that you are comfortable sharing the space with him.

The Location:
Close to Cathays Cemetery and Roath Park, Maindy gym. Right at the junction between Whitchurch Road and Crwys Road. Number 9 bus to town quite reliable.

About Me:
I’m a teacher/ lecturer who enjoys hiking, cooking, crafting and going out for a drink. I love having social evenings with nice food, or a having a cup of tea in front of the telly, but I also get very busy in the school year and like personal space for working from home and decompression.

Who I’m Looking For:
- Someone responsible, queer-friendly, considerate, sociable but not a party animal. I like clean and tidy living. Ideally, you’re professional and looking for a peaceful place to call home.
- Because of the cat, I do ask that housemates are mindful of a few important house rules to keep him safe.
