Description

Furnished room available in a calm, vegan home shared with a live-in landlady, one gentle dog, and four cats. This is a peaceful, inclusive space - ideal for someone responsible, kind, and looking for a settled home rather than a casual flatshare.

I’m queer, vegan, and neurodivergent, and I manage long-term health issues, so maintaining a steady, low-stress environment is essential. The household values mutual respect, privacy, and clear boundaries. It’s not a party house or a place for constant visitors - it’s a peaceful home where people (and animals) can rest and feel safe.

The home is proudly trans-inclusive and rooted in kindness, intersectional feminism, and consideration for others.

---

🏡 About the House

Furnished private room

Shared kitchen, dining room, living room, and 1.5 bathrooms

Lovely garden and friendly street with good neighbours

Plenty of nearby parks and green space

Eco-conscious household (we try to recycle, compost, and avoid waste)

Pets in residence: one shy dog and four cats

Please note: this is a live-in landlady arrangement, not an equal flatshare. You’ll be sharing my home and spaces, and it works best when both people communicate well and respect boundaries. I’m looking for someone who’ll treat the house (and the animals) with genuine care.

💷 Rent & Bills

£550 per month (includes council tax, broadband, and standard household costs)

Gas, electricity, and metered water shared fairly based on usage

Rent reflects a calm, comfortable setup shared by just two people rather than a busy multi-occupancy flatshare

---

🌸 You’ll be a good fit if you:

Are vegan or vegetarian at home

Are tidy, considerate, and emotionally mature

Work mainly outside the home (occasional WFH days are fine)

Are LGBTQIA+ friendly, actively trans-inclusive, and feminist in outlook

Value peace and quiet, especially mornings and evenings

Can adapt to the rhythm of a quiet household with animals

Are fine with a one-month probation period (no guests at first; occasional visitors possible later once trust is established)

---

📜 The Arrangement

Lodger licence agreement (not a tenancy)

Rolling monthly contract

One-month probation period, then one month’s notice on either side

---

I’ve had some truly lovely lodgers in the past - people who’ve valued the calm and mutual respect this home is built on. If that resonates with you, please send a short message about yourself, your work routine, and what you’re looking for in a home.
