We (me (David (34) and Tom (27)) are looking for 3 more professionals to form a house with - preferably there will be a mix gender ratio of 3:2 the 3 can be either male or female depending on interest in the advert and preference of potential housemates. I believe a good mix makes for a more conducive household. We are currently aiming to be in by the start of December (2025) with the tenancy ending at the end of June (2026).
I have done some leg work and viewed a very affordable and fantastic property in the heart of Roath (just neighbouring the pleasure gardens and Lake). The area is surrounded with many amenities (Tesco express 10 mins, Sainsbury’s local 10 mins, Lidl 15 mins, and many take out/restaurants along Crwys/Whitchurch Road/Wellfield/Albany Road). UHW is a 20 minute walk and there is good access to local transport links. I believe this will be a good match for us as it has 5 very spacious bedrooms, living room, and 3 bathrooms.
With a rough estimation of bills (council tax, utilities (gas, water, and electric), internet, and a house kitty to pay for common items such as cleaning/toiletries.) per person per month ~£100 including rent £550.
There should also be 2 on street parking spaces available via the council.
I always encourage people to view the property themselves to get a general feel, but understand life can get in the way and therefore always happy to organise another viewing and video chat.
