I am the current tenant of a 2 bed flat in Roath, and my current flatmate is moving out at the end of the tenancy. Really cannot be bothered with moving somewhere else as this is a decent flat, so I am just hoping to find someone to take over the room :) in terms of the ideal flatmate, I am looking for someone around my age in 20s to mid 30s, able to keep a similar standard of cleanliness as me. I am by far not the cleanest person but I also don't live like a slob. Basically do dishes when they need doing, hoover and mop fairly regularly and generally clean if there's a mess made. As much as these rules generally just apply to communal areas for me, I also don't want to live with someone that will just leave their room an absolute tip whilst keeping up with communal areas. Basically just respect yourself, me and the household and we will be fine.
Photos are from the listing when we moved in for 2024, any pics I take wouldn't be as good and would include furnishings from the other currentn tenant. Only major differences are the washer has been replaced, the sofas have been replaced by a very nice L sofa and the beds have been replaced with divan bases and new mattresses when we walked in. The landlord is very nice about replacing stuff as the washing machine really just had some minor issues. There is also an unphotographed cellar but it's basically completely unusable due to damp.
I am also happy to discuss which room you want, as there are pros and cons to each. Main thing is that one room (currently mine) has all external facing walls so gets a bit cold in winter but has a glass double door accessing the back garden and gets way more light.
