Bright, quite and spacious double room

I’m looking for someone to take over my tenancy in a lovely, bright, quiet, and spacious double room in a calm and welcoming shared house.

The house is conveniently located just off Newport Road, with a bus stop only a 3-minute walk away, and Cardiff city centre reachable in about 15 minutes on foot 🚶‍♀️. It’s not the newest place, but it’s been kept neat, clean, and well looked after, with all the basic comforts covered. It’s ideal for someone who values peace and quiet, while still wanting quick and easy access to shops, transport, and city life 🌿.

The house has four bedrooms, but only three people share the property, which means a bit of extra space and a more relaxed living environment — including some additional storage. The three people share 1 bathroom (with a shower, a bath, and a toilet).
The room is fully furnished and available right now. It comes with a bed, table, chair, floor lamp, wardrobe, and a chest of drawers. There are also some additional pieces of furniture stored in the communal room, in case you need anything extra, which makes moving in very easy 🙂.

We’re ideally looking for a professional, though mature, clean, and considerate students are also very welcome (I’m a student myself and have loved living here).

As with any shared home, everyone is expected to do their part in maintaining the space. We keep things fair and simple:

- Bathroom cleaning is rotated weekly

- Kitchen cleaning is rotated fortnightly

- Everyone is respectful of shared spaces and each other’s routines

It’s a peaceful household where people value personal space and a calm atmosphere — perfect if you like coming home to unwind after a busy day ✨.

In terms of costs 💷:
Rent does not include bills. Bills usually come to around £100–£150 per month, depending on usage (a little higher during winter due to heating). This covers electricity, gas, water, Wi-Fi, and council tax.
Altogether, the total monthly cost (rent + bills) is approximately £600.

The location is another big plus 🌍:

- STAR Hub Leisure Centre (gym & swimming): 20-minute walk / 5-minute bike ride

- City Link Retail Park (ALDI, Home Bargains, TK Maxx and more): 15-minute walk / 5-minute bike ride 🛍️

- Waterloo Gardens – Roath Mill Gardens – Roath Park circuit: 10-minute walk / 3-minute bike ride
(Perfect for runners or anyone wanting to get into running — the connected loop is about 7 km 🏃‍♀️)

- Cardiff Royal Infirmary: 11-minute walk / 3-minute bike ride
